For the past 4 years Some of our local Sangat have put together video stories in an effort to educate and inspire the sangat during Baisakhi time. These videos are normally shown at the grand Baisakhi celebration in Los Angeles, California every year. Here is one of those videos. More to come tomorrow. This video was put together by Shanti Kaur Khalsa and narrated by Guru Tej Singh and Sat Nirmal Kaur from Espanola, New Mexico.

News story about Major Singh Nihang. Apparently he was trying to set the world record for the largest turban (It is over 400 meters of cloth!). His mission is to inspire Sikh youth and revive turbans in a community where many are cutting their hair or just wearing hats.

I just came across some pictures of my home town Gurdwara in Los Angeles, California and it brought back many memories looking at the pictures. I was born and raised in L.A. and was there till I left for boarding school in India when I was about 8. I lived a few blocks away from the Gurdwara as did much of our community. I have many good experiences in the Gurdwara and the area. Here is a video done by BBC (Desi DNA - 3HO) which was aired in the UK and is of the Los Angeles Sangat.
